Child Development and Education, Inc.'s Teen Parent Program combines high quality family child care with our statewide network of resources to create a sense of community and support for teen parents. Our program provides teens with opportunities to further their education, find employment, and develop the skills they need to successfully meet the challenges of their new roles as parents.

We have over 15 years of experience in the early education and care field. Our team of multicultural and multilingual early education experts is dedicated to providing the very best programs and services for teen parents and their children. Our family child care educators are licensed by the state, follow strict regulations, and are supported by our team of experienced child care and education coordinators. Our curriculum is designed by highly qualified master's degreed education specialists with vast experience in curriculum development and training. Our curriculum follows EEC regulations, core competencies and the early learning standards and guidelines. Our child care services extend beyond the classroom to include transportation, a variety of therapy and support services offered by licensed clinicians, and regular developmental assessments and screenings conducted by experienced professionals.

We are the largest family child care system in Massachusetts and our goal is to help teen parents find excellent child care programs within our network of educators who not only care about the education and development of the child, but also serve as mentors and role models for teen parents —showing them best practices for parenting, coaching them through developmental milestones, guiding them on assessments, and modeling positive behaviors. Additionally, our team ensures that teen parents are enrolled in an education or job training program and have the support and motivation they need to excel and finish, then move on to pursue their next educational or occupational goal. We stress goal setting, life skills training, and parenting classes. We offer support groups with other teen parents in the area and mentoring sessions with mental health professionals.

Finally, we will help teen parents transition out of the program into other service need child care slots, assist them with continuing support services, and ensure they have a positive, stable life plan for themselves and their child.
