The Counseling Center of Child Development is dedicated to providing therapeutic services to children and families as well as providing behavioral consultations and supportive services to teachers and child care providers. Our mission is based on the understanding that early assessment and intervention leads to the best possible outcome for children and families. While initially our goal is to address and reduce presenting problems, our long-term goal is to guide the client in functioning effectively and positively within the family and the community.
The Counseling Center provides quality care for people struggling with a number of life issues. Services are offered to people at all lifestages - children, teens, and adults. Recognizing the tremendous needs of children and families who are affected by violence, loss, substance abuse, divorce, trauma, poverty, and the general difficulties of raising children during these challenging times, The Counseling Center provides a comprehensive, integrated continuum of quality care.
The Counseling Center’s licensed clinicians have specialized training and experience in providing therapy to families and children as young as three years old. Treatment is tailored to meet each individual’s specific needs. Individual, couples, and family counseling is available for children, adolescents, and adults to help with difficulties including depressed or anxious feelings, troubling behaviors, life changes, trauma, and relationship issues.
